Viewfinder system Real image type viewfinder with marks for auto focus metering areas and close-ups. Flash status indicated by red LED (light emitting diode). Eyepiece adjustable by +1 to -3 dioptres.
Viewfinder displays Indication of f-stop and shutter speed, focus (AFL, near distance warning, focus aid in MF mode), flash status and flash exposure, warning when exposure correction is set.

Control of accessory flash unit LEICA SF 24D and all compatible SCA flashes via SCA 3502 M4 adaptor are automatically controlled by the camera; flashes equipped with center contact can be fired.
Film speed setting Automatic for films with DX coding from ISO 25/15° to ISO 5000/38°; for films without DX coding or with speeds below ISO 25/15°, the speed is set at ISO 100/21°.
Selftimer 2 and 10 second exposure delay; operation indicated by blinking and lighting of the AF-support-light on camera front, countdown on LC-display on camera back door.
Data imprinting For selective printing of day and time or date on the bottom right-hand corner of the picture. Quartz clock with automatic calendar up to year 2060. Intensity automatically adjusted according to film speed.
